Virtual Reality Summit Salzburg 2016

Be part of it on the 5th of October 2016, Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (SUAS)

``Gotta catch them all``

Pokemon Go made Augmented Reality accessible to the mass market for the first time. Although devices and infrastructure will not be fully mature for another two years according to the experts, the economic and technical possibilities already seem unlimited. Virtual and Augmented Reality are not just bringing about a radical change in gaming, they are impacting health, tourism and education too.

Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality technologies make new applications possible that transport people into increasingly realistic worlds. Free movement and interaction in a virtual world make it easier to visualise planned buildings and landscapes or to simulate technological operating processes.

What? Where?
Animation Entertainment ABOUT QUANERO GAME: Quanero is an experimental experience for VR headsets. Your goal is to figure out what caused a violent incident in a futuristic bar by manipulating the time. You can slow down time, reverse it or bring it to a halt. Explore the scene, unlock the story's branch points and unravel the mystery. This project was created by students from the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences MultiMediaArt and MultiMediaTechnology degree program. The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences greatly provided a motion capture system and designated rooms to allow us to work on professional level. SE 019
Drama Entertainment Project ADA/M: ADA/M is the first "TV" drama series for VR. A dystopic live-action drama set at an underground lab at CERN it is challenging the reason of human existence. Thanks to its naturalistic sci-fi setting yet emotionally immersing depth generated by real actors it is appealing to a broad TV series audience and clever theatrical tricks in the script make up for the current technical limitations. Subtle interaction design underlines the natural user experience focusing solely on empathy and storytelling. The premium stereoscopic 3D 360 material is optimised for HTC Vive and mimicks a room-scale experience within filmed footage. The 3D 360 pilot has been world-premiering at Alpbach 2016. linear Promo Trailer: https://vimeo.com/entrez SE 018
